[mplpost] Online Marketing Idea -- thought I'd pass it along

I hope nobody feels this is off topic. If you do, I apologize. Since it's
all about selling music, I feel it is on topic after all.
This is kind of self-promotion, but not really since I think it's something
many of you may want to look into. I've just discovered a new site called
TrueFire.com. It's like a retail store online that accepts music stuff on
consignment. It's easy to sign up and to put your stuff up. And it's free
until you sell, at which time you pay 50 percent for use of their
shelf-space. That's pretty reasonable since they handle all the business
aspects. All you do is post your songs, stories, or whatever and set a
price.
And, no, I don't have any sort of affiliation with this site at all except
that I'm posting my own stuff there. I only started posting yesterday and
already I'm making sales. I've never seen that fast results with anything
else I've done on the net. So far, I've posted two songs [well, okay,
spoken word bits], a two hour MOTW script, and a full length novel. I plan
to post a lot more.
If you're interested, go to http://truefire.com and [here comes that self
promo] type "Bob MacKenzie" into the "find" box to see how some of my things
are posted. It's a neat system. You get full details plus a sample before
you ever have to buy. And, when you join up they give you ten truefire
bucks to start you off.
Maybe I'll see some of your work posted there.
Peace and Love.
