Here is the line-up for the last three weeks for the free noon-time weekday concerts presented by Metropolitan United Church at Queen and Church Streets in downtown Toronto. Concerts are outdoors 12:30 - 1:30 pm in front of the main entrance on Queen Street - a lovely setting with lots of trees, benches, tables, games.

When it doesn't rain:

Tuesday Aug 8 (TODAY) - Robin Peacocke
Wednesday Aug 9 - Paul Butler
Thursday Aug 10 - Lisa Patterson
Friday Aug 11 - Norm Hacking

Monday Aug 14 - Jenni Burke
Tuesday Aug 15 - The Half Henrys (1/2 The Henrys)
Wednesday Aug 16 - Laura Thomas
Thursday Aug 17 - Norm Hacking (rescheduled from rain-threatened July 14)
Friday Aug 18 - Hernon Astudillo

Monday Aug 21 - TBA (held for rescheduling rain cancelled performer)
Tuesday Aug 22 - Ten String Circus
Wednesday Aug 23 - TBA (held for rescheduling rain cancelled performer)
Thursday Aug 24 - Kirk Elliott (rescheduled from rainy Aug 1)
Friday Aug 25 - Cassava (last concert of the 2000 season)

If rain or threat of rain causes cancellation, performers will be rescheduled for August 21 or 23. If there are more than two cancellations, there may be double bills on some of the dates above.

The number to call at the church for further info is 416 363-0331 x44. Posted with permission of the church staff.

After previous posts about the series, I had some enquiries about performing there. I may not have made it clear that I am only passing on info hoping that some list subscribers can attend or tell friends who can - it's a terrific venue and series and I know several of the performers. The church staff (phone number just above) books the series, and will start scheduling next season in May probably, giving priority to those who have performered there in the past. With last-minute weather-related decisions, it's not suitable for out-of-towners.
