Without the writer's input = interpretation is necessary and each of us brings a different perception = to that process. Serious factual errors might need to be addressed if = possible, but isn't meaning subjective? =20 I think of criticisms regarding book to screen situations. Book readers = often say the screen version isn't as good. What about those who have = not read it that book? They must judge the film good or bad as a film = without prior knowledge. I think the same can be said here. More attendance by audiences = unfamiliar with Stan's songs would be great. The folk community while = commendably supportive of its own, can be insular, possibly protective. = A new audience would grasp something about the man, respond to his songs = and enjoy a terrific show. Some would buy recordings. The man would be = remembered by a new audience. Maybe it is today's folk process. Isn't = that the point? Congratulations to Paul and others.
