This year Eaglewood is delighted to present "North of Toronto" performers,
a local folk community initiative where the Friday night main stage is
reserved for performers from the "705/905" area, reflecting the vibrant
folk scene that stretches from Perth to Barrie and up to North Bay.
Headliners on Friday will be Allen, Glass, deCarle & Keldie. As "Prairie
Oyster", this band has rewritten the country music charts all over North
America. As an acoustic quartet, they bring tremendous energy and
musicianship to the Eaglewood stage. Other "North of Toronto" performers
include Pefferlaw's own Magoo, and Don Bray, winner of the Ontario Council
of Folk Festivals 1998 "Songs From The Heart" songwriting contest and the
1999 Great American Song Contest.

Continuing with Eaglewood's tradition of presenting classic songwriters, we
have with us this year Valdy, David Bradstreet, Sirens, James Gordon, Ray
Materick, Ron Nigrini, David Essig, and Brent Titcomb. The very talented
Katherine Wheatley returns this year to once again delight audiences, and
new writers are ably represented by Andrea Koziol (writer of "Torch Folk"),
Rob Lamothe and others.

Instrumentally, the insanely talented Zubot & Dawson, David Essig and Mark
Haines & Tom Leighton along with Eaglewood favourite Rick Fielding will
redefine the parameters of acoustic music for the festival audience.

The legendary Jackie Washington, an institution in Canadian Folk music,
needs no introduction. Eaglewood is proud to have Jackie back this year.

Apart from the great music you'll hear throughout the weekend, Eaglewood
offers a wide and interesting array of crafts, children's area, horseback
riding, and swimming, all in an accessible environment.
