[mplpost] Jeez, did I really do that?

In last night's e-mail about the Maple Blues Awards I said, in the
"headline", that the event was being held at the Phoenix Concert
Theatre on January 39.
The news that the month had been extended by an additional
week or so may have caught some of you by surprise; it certainly is
an example of my lamentable proof-reading skills.
The date, of course, is Tuesday January 29.
If you need to know more about the awards - or would like to
interview any of the participants - please contact me.
Meanwhile, the event is making headlines in western Canada.
Peter North, writing in the Edmonton Journal, says that the Maple
Blues Awards' "short list" of nominees "leaves the West singing the
blues". Once again, he writes, the region has been shortchanged. He
then mentions nominations for Tim Williams and Ellen McIlwaine from
Calgary, Harry Manx from Saltspring Island, and other westerners like
Ken Hamm, Michael Kaeshammer, and two members of Vancouver's Powder
Blues Band, Tom Lavin and David Woodward.
Proof you can't please all the people all the time.
And forgive my crummy proofreading; I promise to do better.
Richard
