[mplpost] Ottawa area gigs to check out

On Friday, Jan. 11, at 8PM
Ric Denis, fiery guitarist for the ragged flowers, will be having a CD 
release party at Rasputin's (www.cyberus.ca/~rasputin) in Ottawa. The show 
will feature Ric's acoustically honest original songs, exciting 
instrumental pieces and some cool jazz. Ric will be joined by ragged flower 
bandmates Ian Douglas (drums and keys) and me to provide musical and moral 
support.

Saturday, Jan. 12 at 8PM
Tickets are going fast for the first folkus music series concert in 
Almonte. This concert features the ragged flowers and their vocally rich, 
powerfully crafted blend of rhythm-based, world-music-inspired 
compositions. Opening the show will be singer-songwriter Greg Hobbs. Call

(Tune in to the New RO in Ottawa on Friday morning between 7 and 9 to catch 
the flowers doing a preview/promo on the breakfast program.)
