Breaking my own guidelines, I'm sharing this info because I know many of
you use Outlook Express as your mailer. This snippet from eWeek News
(Ziff-Davis) arrived this morning, providing a link to the full story on a
potentially damaging new virus that arrives as an email with the subject
"Outlook Express Update". In addition to the damage it can do to your
Windows PC, it will also look around the network on your network mappings
for other systems to try to infect. Not nice.
Putting on my computer management hat for a moment, if I could offer one
piece of advice to all, it would be "do not open any attachment you have
not been expecting" even from, and maybe especially from, friends. Simply
delete any messages with unsolicited attachments.

1. GIGGER VIRUS DELETES ALL FILES, FORMATS C: DRIVE
Virus researchers have discovered a potentially dangerous
new virus that deletes all files on an infected computer and
also formats the machine's C: drive. The virus hasn't
infected many computers yet, but Symantec Corp. has given it
a High rating for both damage and distribution, meaning the
potential for widespread infections is considerable. To read
