Good Day Maplepost...

Well, it's January 17th and that can only mean one thing...the OCFF
members-only "E-News Issue 3" is about to hit inboxes across the planet.
Now, I've said it before and I'm going to say it again...there can only be
two reasons you won't get YOUR copy.  The first is, you're a member and we
don't have your email address.  The second, far more menacing possibility is
that <gasp> you are not a member at all!  How can that be?

Let’s look at an example:  a long-time charter member of our community (who
shall remain nameless to protect his luminous reputation) let me know he
wasn’t getting his E-news.  I investigated.  The trusty doesn’
t-lie-even-if-it-wants-to OCFF database informed us both that alas, the
truth hurts.  He was not actually member.  A simple oversight that he has
promised to reconcile.  I pointed him in the direction of the online
membership registration (http://www.icomm.ca/~ocff/membership.htm), gave him
all the contact details, and now he’s going to get his E-News.
