I suggest any of the recordings by Paddy Tutty--"The Roving Jewel" and "In
the Greenwood," for example. Most of Paddy's material is British Isles-based
but some of the titles fit the kind of thing you're looking for. Besides,
Paddy is a Canadian exponent of the traditional style. . .one of a very rare
breed.
