And Lonzo and Oscar. And I always thought they shoulda made a '60s
movie -- Homer & Jethro & Lonzo & Oscar.
"I'm My Own Grandpa" was a Lonzo & Oscar song that for decades I (and
probably others) mistakenly thought was Homer & Jethro's. In case
anybody hasn't heard it (you'd have to be young, I think), it's about a
guy whose grown son marries the mother of his new wife, thereby making
his son his stepfather and ... well, it's a bit too convoluted to
recount in full ...
You can find plenty of country humour on Steve Goodman albums too.
