Hi all. Just a quick note to let you know that East Coast fiddler Richard
Wood's Kitchener concert, part of the On Stage Series, on Thurs Jan 31st at
The Centre In The Square is now sold out.

However, there are 2 more shows in this increasingly popular series, which
is held in a small
and intimate setting (the audience sits at tables set up on the stage in the
main theatre with seating limited to only 225. A free truffle is included in
the price of admission and drinks are available for purchase) at The Centre
In The Square,
one of the area's finest concert halls. The Susie Arioli Swing Band, from
Montreal, plays this series on Thursday April 11/02) and the final show in
the series is The Songwriter's Circle (which will feature three as yet
unnamed singer/songwriters) on Thursday June 6/02.


The KW Record's reporter Robert Reid, who covers the singer/songwriter and
acoustic music scene extensively in Kitchener, has praised this series and
its intimate setting. Reid has written in the KW Record that, "Except for
the Arkell Schoolhouse Gallery, there's no better place anywhere in the area
to hear singer-songwriters than on stage at The Centre In The Square. The
audience is close to the artists and the sound is excellent. Moreover, there
are no extraneous noises or distractions of any kind. In short, nothing
comes between the audience and the song."

Prices for the series of three shows are $59. Individual concert tickets are
