In addition to Larrivee, I would also give a vote for Morgan guitars from
Vancouver.  Aesthetically modelled after the Larrivee line, (and maybe even
made in the same factory!)   I traded in my Lowden for a Concert Cutaway in
March /01 from  "Don't Fret"  in Burlington ON and really enjoy the tone and
the playability.
