Taxi Chain is almost finished recording material for our fourth CD. Over the
period of a few weeks while recording, we've
had to improvise a number of different things while doing so.
Once, we needed to use an old paint can to act as a counter balance on a
weighed down microphone stand.
Another time, we used a lamp from an art class to warm our hands because the
furnace broke down in the hall where we were recording. (That's okay, it was
fixed by the time we packed up.)
There was also the time that Grier had to soak his last bagpipe reed in
rubbing alcohol because we didn't have any whiskey. (The whiskey thing was a
trick he learned from Granpa.)
My point? Just come see us this Saturday at the Old York and watch us improv
when the walls fall out from the place bursting with bagpipe funk. And we
won't run out of whiskey...

The Old York is at 167 Niagara St., Toronto at the corner of Wellington St.

Niagara and walk south to the stop sign. For those of you who drive, there's
ton o' free parking in the municipal yard across the street.
The cover charge is a mere $5.
